This research focuses on the role of specific proteins in regulating cell junctions during the development of epithelial tissues in Drosophila. It aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms by which these proteins influence cell growth and organization.
Src-family kinases play major roles in promoting adherens junctions remodelling in development and metastasis.
Their activities are negatively regulated by C-terminal Src kinase (Csk).
