This project focuses on improving lithium-air batteries for electric vehicles by addressing issues related to reaction stability and electrode passivation. It aims to develop redox catalysts and innovative strategies to enhance battery performance and longevity.
Lithium-air batteries are a promising alternative to power the future electric vehicles.
However, major improvements at the level of the fundamentals of the reactions will be required in order to improve their practical specific energy and rechargeability.
