This project examines the impact of the Greenland ice sheet on sea level rise due to climate change. Utilizing advanced modeling techniques, it aims to understand the ice sheet's response to human-induced warming and its implications for future climate scenarios.
The contribution of the Greenland ice sheet to 21st century sea level rise is highly uncertain.
Most estimates in the most recent IPCC report (AR4) were obtained using relatively crude ice sheet models forced with General Circulation Models (GCMs) output, without including important climate feedbacks associated with the changing ice sheets.
