The IceCube neutrino telescope project aims to enhance the detection of high-energy neutrinos from astrophysical sources by expanding its field of view to include the galactic center. This involves implementing new data selection techniques and advanced reconstruction methods to improve event detection.
Main purpose of the IceCube neutrino telescope is to detect high energy neutrinos of astro- physical origin.
Within this project we aim to extend the field of view of the instrument to observe the galactic center, which is not in the generic field of view of a neutrino telescope at the South Pole.
