The GELBRID project focuses on creating advanced gel hybrid materials by combining organic molecules with inorganic nanoparticles. It aims to develop new materials for applications in nanotechnology and solar energy conversion through innovative self-assembly techniques.
GELBRID is a 3-year project aiming at the preparation and extensive characterization of advanced gel hybrid materials.
Three basic strategies will be addressed: (i) peptide-substituted linear pi-conjugated molecules to be gelated and (ii) used as scaffolds for the hybridization with inorganic nanoparticles and for (iii) noncovalent functionalization of graphene through self-assembly.
