The project aims to develop a standardized electric propulsion platform for space applications, specifically for ion engines used in satellites. This initiative seeks to enhance European capabilities in space technology and ensure competitiveness in the global market.
The consortium proposes an innovative activity to develop, build and test to TRL5 the first European Plug and Play Gridded Ion Engine Standardised Electric Propulsion Platform (GIESEPP) to operate Airbus Safran Launchers and QinetiQ Space ion engines.
