This project investigates how immune cell movement can improve allogeneic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) for treating blood cancers. It aims to reduce complications like graft versus host disease and enhance immune responses, ultimately leading to better treatment protocols.
Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) is a curative therapy for various haematological malignancies.
Obtaining suitably matched donors, problems with graft versus host disease (GVHD) and infection, however, limit the wider application of this therapy.
