GLASS investigates the mechanics of earthquakes by analyzing seismic signals and studying ancient fault outcrops in Central Italy. The project aims to enhance our understanding of faulting processes and improve earthquake prediction models.
Earthquakes are potentially catastrophic phenomena that have a huge impact on the environment and society.
Understanding the physical processes responsible for earthquakes and faulting requires high quality data and direct observations of the underlying phenomena.
