Glaukos focuses on developing eco-friendly textile fibers and coatings to combat microplastic pollution from fishing gear and clothing. The project emphasizes biodegradability and bio-recyclability, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of textiles throughout their lifecycle.
Glaukos will develop innovative textile fibres and textile coatings that reconcile an excellent environmental performance with adequate technical characteristics.
The focus lies on two important contributors to the (micro)plastic pollution in our oceans: fishing gear and clothing.
