This project develops a novel therapeutic nanovaccine targeting glioblastoma multiforme. It combines immunotherapy and chemotherapy through nanoparticles that deliver drugs and stimulate the immune response, aiming to improve treatment outcomes for patients with this aggressive brain cancer.
The proposal aims at the synthesis, characterisation and application of a novel therapeutic nanovaccine (TNVax) that holds multiple modules for targeting glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
The proposed TNVax formulation includes a gold nanocage core encapsulating Temozolamide (TMZ), coated with an extremophilic bacterial polysaccharide, mauran functionalised with anti-PD-L1 antibody and anti-CD133 antibody.
