GLIOTRAIN focuses on developing new treatment strategies for glioblastoma, a deadly brain tumor. The project trains researchers in advanced techniques like next-generation sequencing and multi-omics to better understand and combat the disease.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most frequent, aggressive and lethal of all brain tumours.
It has a universally fatal prognosis with 85% of patients dying within two years.
New treatment options and effective precision medicine therapies are urgently required.
