This project explores the role of AMPA receptors in synaptic plasticity, focusing on the trafficking of the GluR1 subunit. Using advanced imaging techniques, it aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms regulating receptor movement and its implications for memory processes.
The spatial and temporal regulation in the composition of the postsynaptic membrane of synapses participates to the different forms of synaptic plasticity that trigger the cellular processes of memory formation, consolidation, and retrieval.
