This project focuses on developing a novel hydrogel treatment using Galectin-3 inhibitors for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a severe lung disease. It aims to optimize drug delivery and analyze genetic and glycosylation patterns to enhance understanding of disease mechanisms and improve treatment options.
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) accounts for a progressive pathology with extremely high mortality and no cure available.
There is a need to study pathology mechanisms for efficient treatments development.
