This project focuses on developing innovative sensors to identify glycosylation patterns in biofluids and live cells. By creating highly sensitive devices, it aims to enhance disease diagnosis, particularly for conditions like prostate cancer, through detailed analysis of glycoproteins.
Glycobiology is poised to be the next revolution in biology and medicine; however, technical difficulties in detecting and characterizing glycans prevent many biologists from entering this field, thus hampering new discoveries and innovations.
