This project focuses on developing a roll-based chemical vapor deposition machine for mass-producing few-layer graphene. The goal is to create transparent electrodes for applications in LEDs and displays, while also adapting existing carbon nanotube growth processes for cost-effective graphene production.
Graphene has some unique properties resulting from its linear dispersion band structure, its high carrier mobility, and its low dimensionality.
However, its use is presently limited by its synthesis and mass production.
