The GRAIN2 project focuses on developing greener aviation technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution from aircraft. It aims to create strategies for sustainable aviation through innovations in aircraft design, operational practices, and alternative fuels.
As mentioned in the Executive Summary of the Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda, Aviation has an important role to play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions as well as noise and local air quality issues.
