The project focuses on advancing the Floating Dual Chamber Oscillating Water Column device, a novel system that converts wave energy into electricity for hydrogen production. This technology aims to serve as a floating fuel station for ships, promoting clean energy in marine transportation.
The main objective of this project proposal is to boost the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the novel Concept of Floating Dual Chamber Oscillating Water Column (FOWC) device. FOWC is a kind of Wave Energy Converter (WEC) system that captures energy of waves and converts it into electricity.
The generated electricity is used to produce green Hydrogen from the sea water.
