This project aims to trace the networks through which mosquito-borne diseases spread by combining mobile phone tracking, DNA analysis, and citizen science. It seeks to understand the socio-demographic and environmental factors influencing these networks to improve disease models and public health interventions.
This project will use mobile phone positioning, DNA fingerprinting, and citizen science, combined with traditional socio-demographic methods to trace the host-vector biting networks through which mosquito-borne diseases flow and illuminate the behavioural, socio-demographic, and environmental mechanisms that shape these networks in a spatially explicit manner.
