The H2FCEuropean Infrastructure project aims to unify European research efforts in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. It focuses on creating a virtual infrastructure that supports testing, analysis, and collaboration among research institutions to enhance the development of hydrogen energy systems.
The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) recognizes in its roadmap for Research Infrastructures that ""in the near future, hydrogen, as an energy carrier derived from a number of other fuels, and fuel cells, as energy transformers, are expected to play a major role, for mobile and stationary applications"".
