This project involves a demonstration of a 6MW PEM electrolyser at a steel manufacturing plant to provide grid-balancing services. The initiative aims to enhance hydrogen production efficiency while exploring economic and environmental benefits.
Under the coordination of VERBUND, VOESTALPINE, a steel manufacturer, and SIEMENS, a PEM electrolyser manufacturer, propose a 26 month demonstration of the 6MW electrolysis power plant installed at the VOESTALPINE LINZ plant (Austria).
