The H2Ports project aims to integrate hydrogen as a clean fuel in the port industry by developing and testing prototypes such as hydrogen-powered reach stackers and yard tractors. It focuses on creating a sustainable hydrogen supply chain to support zero-emission operations in port logistics.
Hydrogen is an energy carrier with great potential for clean, efficient power in transport applications.
Hydrogen can be obtained from different sources, which in combination with fuel cells it can improve energy efficiency especially when hydrogen is produced by renewable energy sources.
