This project focuses on developing a new method for the asymmetric halogenation of olefins using intermolecular nucleophiles. By tuning the stability of halonium complexes, the project aims to enhance the efficiency of producing chiral compounds, which are crucial in pharmaceuticals and other chemical applications.
