This project investigates new methods for rapidly switching magnetic order using circularly-polarized optical phonons. By utilizing advanced infrared light pulses, it aims to create a more efficient and effective means of manipulating magnetization for applications in data storage and processing.
Discovering methods that facilitate ultrafast and minimally-dissipative switching of spontaneous ordering represents one of the most prominent research directions in modern condensed matter physics.
