This project investigates the role of haploid selection in animals, particularly focusing on sperm genetics and epigenetics using zebrafish as a model. It aims to understand how these factors influence offspring performance and evolutionary processes through a series of experimental and genomic analyses.
An inescapable consequence of sex in eukaryotes is the evolution of a biphasic life cycle with alternating diploid and haploid phases.
