HARPA focuses on enhancing the performance and reliability of future processors by addressing variability challenges in silicon devices. It employs a middleware control engine to optimize hardware and software interactions, ensuring dependable performance for both embedded and high-performance applications.
Application requirements, power, and technological constraints are driving the architectural convergence of future processors towards heterogeneous many-cores.
This development is confronted with variability challenges, mainly the susceptibility to time-dependent variations in silicon devices.
