This research project examines the financial protection against health-related costs in Thailand, a country with universal healthcare. It aims to understand how illness impacts household consumption and explores the effectiveness of different data analysis methods to inform health policy.
Lacking insurance puts households in many emerging and developing countries at substantial financial risk when faced with severe injury or disease.
