The HeRiDe project develops a methodology for assessing the condition of wall paintings using advanced scientific techniques. It aims to improve the detection of hidden risks and support conservation efforts through a dedicated open-source software tool for heritage professionals.
Although heritage science field already offers a wide range of tools for condition assessment of wall paintings, an efficient on-site full-field depth-resolved inspection is not achieved yet.
