This project investigates the mechanisms by which herpes simplex virus-1 generates mutations during infection. It aims to identify host and viral proteins that regulate viral genome expression and replication, potentially revealing new insights into herpesvirus biology and virology.
Infection with herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) can lead to diverse outcomes ranging from asymptomatic infection to life threatening encephalitis.
