This project focuses on designing and synthesizing novel heterometallic metal-organic frameworks to be used as catalysts in tandem reactions. The aim is to improve the stability and efficiency of these frameworks for industrial applications through controlled synthesis methods.
The field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) is currently among the most extensively studied topics in chemistry given the large number of fascinating applications associated with the chemical versatility of MOFs.
In particular, the use of MOFs as heterogeneous catalysts is an area that has attracted considerable attention since, in principle, the ideally suited architectures of MOFs can present catalytically active sites spatially arranged.
