This project introduces a new approach in materials science by developing heterostructures from two-dimensional atomic crystals. It aims to create innovative devices with unique functionalities by combining various 2D materials at an atomic level.
We propose a new paradigm in materials science – heterostructures based on two-dimensional atomic crystals (and their hybrids with metallic and semiconducting quantum dots and nanostructures), and develop several devices which are based on such concept.
