The HiCONNECTS project seeks to decentralize cloud computing by integrating edge computing technologies. This transformation aims to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of cloud services, particularly for Internet of Things applications, while ensuring sustainability and energy efficiency.
The challenges and major HiCONNECTS objectives are to transform the centralized cloud platform to decentralized platforms which include edge cloud computing in a sustainable, energy-efficient way.
