This project develops a biomass combined heat and power technology that utilizes a flexible gasification system and solid oxide fuel cells. It aims to achieve high energy efficiency and low emissions while being adaptable to various biomass fuels, contributing to renewable energy solutions.
Within the project a new highly efficient biomass CHP technology consisting of a fuel-flexible fixed-bed updraftgasifier, a novel compact gas cleaning system and a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) shall be developed for a capacityrange of 1to 10 MW (total energy output).
