This project investigates women's activism against violence in high-risk settings in Latin America, particularly Mexico. It aims to document their mobilization efforts and study women's leadership in social movements, contributing to the understanding of gender justice and women's empowerment.
The proposed project is about women’s resistance to violence(s) in high risk settings in Latin America.In contexts of high violence, we might expect women – often portrayed as weaker or more vulnerable members of society – to shy away from activities that augment their exposure to risk.
