The HIMMOVAL project aims to innovate metal removal techniques for jet engine components made from super alloys. By utilizing advanced machining methods, the project seeks to enhance productivity and surface integrity during manufacturing.
The HIMMOVAL project aims to develop a new rapid metal removal concept under acceptable surface integrity for fabricating typical jet engine components made of high resistant super alloys that will be based on smart use of non-conventional machining methods, namely water jet technologies and low plasticity burnishing surface treatment, optimized conventional machining and a well-defined sequence of processes.
