The HoliDes project aims to develop adaptive human-machine systems that enhance cooperation between humans and machines in various contexts. By focusing on safety and automation, it seeks to create systems that can adapt to both human behavior and environmental conditions to improve task performance.
HoliDes addresses development and qualification of Adaptive Cooperative Human-Machine Sys-tems (AdCoS) where many humans and many machines act together, cooperatively, in a highly adaptive way.
They adapt to each other and to the context to guarantee fluent and cooperative task achievement.
Such systems with higher levels of automation are urgently needed to enhance safety and to increase the confidence of human operators.
