The HURAPRIM project addresses the human resources crisis in healthcare across Africa by analyzing the current situation and testing innovative interventions. It aims to improve recruitment, training, and retention of healthcare workers through collaboration with local stakeholders.
Multiple reports have documented the important deficit in human resources in health (HRH) in Africa.
The causes are multiple and relate to a combination of underproduction, internal mal-distribution and inappropriate task allocation, working conditions and brain drain.
