The project examines the transnational dynamics of Islamist movements in North Africa and their impact on communities in Europe and North America. It aims to analyze how these movements evolve through digital activism and local re-engagement.
The Uprisings that broke out on the southern shores of the Mediterranean in 2011 and the waves of migration that followed have shed light on the resurgence of Islamist movements in North Africa and on a renewed presence of Islamic communities in the Western world.
