The HydrO-17 Project investigates the use of triple oxygen isotope analysis to enhance understanding of lake hydrology in Southern Spain. By examining seasonal isotope changes, it aims to improve water management strategies in the context of climate change and groundwater overexploitation.
Lakes provide an important water resource for agricultural and industrial purposes, and form a critical habitat for plants and animals.
