This project develops a novel magnetic hyperthermia treatment for cancer, focusing on localized intracellular heating to induce cell death. It aims to create a temperature imaging system using luminescent probes to enhance the precision of this therapy.
The scientific aim of the project is to explore a new concept of magnetic hyperthermia treatment for cancer that gets closer to the ideal non-invasiveness & no-secondary-effects kind of treatment to become a primary choice for cancer therapy.
Instead of the typical approach of massive tumor heating, this project takes the alternative route of local intracellular heating inducing cell apoptosis.
