The IASMOL project focuses on developing techniques for quantum simulation of many-body systems using ultracold molecules. By combining advanced imaging and addressing methods, it aims to explore interactions in quantum systems that are challenging to simulate with classical computers.
Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman first emphasized the complexity of simulating quantum systems.
Using classical computers, the exponential scaling of the required computational power with the number of constituent particles of the quantum system makes full simulations impossible for high particle numbers.
