ICE³ aims to improve the accuracy of glacier evolution models to better predict sea-level rise and water resource availability. By reducing uncertainties and simulating glacier processes in three dimensions, the project seeks to provide more reliable projections under various climate scenarios.
Glaciers are key contributors to sea-level rise and are critical water resources that supply fresh water to hundreds of millions of people around the world.
