The IDEAS project aims to enhance the contribution of Humanities and Social Sciences to public policy, particularly in understanding cultural contexts in Asia. By coordinating a network of research institutions, it seeks to create a knowledge base that connects academic research with the needs of policymakers.
Many EU and non-EU governments have concluded that the Humanities and Social Sciences could and should make a greater contribution to public policy making.
