The IDIRA project focuses on developing a comprehensive system for disaster management that enhances international cooperation during emergencies. It aims to create tools and guidelines that facilitate resource planning and operations across different organizations and countries.
What is missing so far in the European Union are disaster management procedures, tools and systems which fully take into account the specific characteristics and requirements of large-scale international cooperation in emergency situations.
