This project focuses on improving the performance of low temperature fuel cell catalysts by modifying the local environment of active sites using immobilized ionic liquids. The goal is to enhance durability and efficiency, enabling better fuel cell applications and CO2 electrochemical reduction.
The commercialization of low temperature fuel cells is restricted by the high cost and low durability of cathode catalysts.
Intense efforts have been devoted to tackle this issue by engineering the structure of Pt-based catalysts.
