This project explores the use of ionic liquid encapsulated microcapsules as a novel method for separating volatile organic compounds. It aims to compare the efficiency and longevity of these new membranes against traditional methods, utilizing advanced membrane technology and polymer solutions.
The intention of our proposal is to demonstrate the feasibility of ionic liquid encapsulated microcapsules as alternatives to conventional separation techniques.
Suitable Ionic liquid will be chosen by conventional extraction procedures i.e. solvent extraction.
Furthermore, the efficiency (selectivity, perability) and the life of the novel membrane will be compared with the traditional SLM for NMVOCs removal.
