The iMARS project aims to enhance border security by developing advanced tools for detecting fraudulent identity documents. It focuses on improving the verification processes for passport applications and border control through innovative image analysis techniques and mobile solutions for border guards.
Though difficult to quantify, the variety of possible ID document frauds at borders is a reality that threatens politicians holding responsibility for borders as well as EU citizens.
