This project focuses on using satellite data to enhance the understanding of nitrogen dioxide emissions and air quality, particularly in Turkey. By integrating satellite observations with ground data and regional models, it aims to improve emission inventories and inform environmental policy decisions.
Recent developments in the remote sensing allow acquiring vertical column information of NO2 as well as other air pollutants in the atmosphere with the use of electromagnetic radiation.
