This project investigates the impact of food temptations on self-control in the context of rising obesity rates. By analyzing psychological theories and conducting meta-analyses, it seeks to understand how temptations can either hinder or enhance individuals' ability to manage their food intake.
The prevalence of obesity and overweight has increased dramatically over the last few decades, especially in Europe.
In addition to genetic determinants, societal changes, worldwide nutrition trends, and market forces, like larger serving sizes, are often cited as driving the obesity epidemic.
