The INDRO project focuses on improving drought monitoring through remote sensing technologies. It aims to develop new indicators that assess vegetation status and responses to drought, enhancing early warning systems and ecological models.
Droughts affect most parts of the world.
According to the recent previsions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change1 (IPCC), more frequent and severe droughts are expected.
