This project investigates how bacteriophages, specifically the T5 phage, infect bacteria. It employs advanced imaging techniques to analyze the infection process, focusing on how phages attach to bacterial cells and inject their DNA.
The project proposed here aims at understanding the infection mechanism of bacteria by phages. I will focus my attention on a tailed phage:
T5. A global molecular and cellular analysis will be carried out.
